You can be part of an amazing artwork which will be on display in Birmingham later this year.
To celebrate our 110th anniversary we are creating Fleeting Moments – a sculpture of birds to be displayed at Birmingham Library in November and December.
Across the city – and beyond – people are making their own fabric birds which will all be brought together as a huge flock in the artwork.
As a hospice we know how precious fleeting moments are – whether they are huge moments like a wedding or a tiny moment like a hand held by a bedside – we believe every moment matters.
Each bird is a fleeting moment and by bringing them all together we are creating a shared experience of all of our special moments.
And you can be part of this by creating your own bird. The project is being facilitated by local artists Jane Thakoordin and Margaret Murray who have created these instructions for you to follow.
Once we have received them, the artists will bring them together in the exhibition which will be open to the public and free to visit at Library of Birmingham. We’ll have more information on that nearer the time.
In the meantime, have fun and we look forward to receiving your fleeting moments.
