Every hour can be a visiting hour

We’re open for visitors to come and stay with your loved ones 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We welcome families, friends – and sometimes even pets – to come and visit any time of day or night so that you can be with your loved one and help them to feel at home.

Stay for as long as you like

John Taylor Hospice is your home from home. Please ask us about our overnight family room – it’s there to enable people to stay close to their loved one through the night and make every moment matter.

Grab a bite to eat

Our team of chefs can provide meals for visitors if required – just ask. You’re also welcome to use our visitors’ kitchen, where you can make hot and cold drinks and snacks anytime.

Enjoy our beautiful gardens

Our gardens are cared for by volunteers. People we care for and their visitors are welcome to use the gardens and enjoy a sit or stroll amongst the shrubs and flowers.

Take time out for yourself

A special room at John Taylor Hospice has been set aside for visitors to find peace, meditate, pray – or just somewhere you can be alone if you need time out. It’s called our Quiet Space, and inside there are comfortable chairs, books and symbols from a number of different faiths as well as the option for relaxation music if you wish.

Parking for visitors

There is on-site parking for families and visitors, including a bay reserved for people with disabilities. In the event that no spaces are available, we ask that visitors parking nearby please keep our neighbours in mind.
