Ingredients to make your Big Brummie Bake a piece of cake!

We’ve got all the ingredients to make planning your Big Brummie Bake sale as fun and as easy as possible. So let’s get started…

We’ve been calling on Brummie bakers to whip up something special for John Taylor Hospice and hold a Big Brummie Bake sale on Friday 5 April (or any day that suits them).

The Big Brummie Bake is a new fundraising campaign we’ve launched for 2019 and we’d love for you to get involved! Simply get together your friends, family, work colleagues or pupils to bake a difference for John Taylor Hospice – it’s a piece of cake.

Order your Big Brummie Bake kit

Your Big Brummie Bake kit is jam-packed full of materials. We’ve got a step-by-step guide, invitations, posters, games and lots more to help you rise to the occasion.

Set the date

First things first, get a date in your diary to look forward to. We’re asking everyone to hold their Big Brummie Bake on Friday 5 April – but you can do this on a day to suit you.

Pick your venue

Think about where you want to hold your event. This could be at home with your family, on your lunch break with your workmates, after your gym class with your friends or at an after-school club with your children.

Set up a JustGiving page

Now you’re ready to start shouting about your amazing event and baking a difference! Setting up a JustGiving page is a great way to kick-start your fundraising and let people know about your event.

Send out your invites

Use the invitations and posters in your kit to invite your friends, family, colleagues or school friends to your Big Brummie Bake and let the good times roll! Don’t forget to include your JustGiving page link and text to donate code – this way anyone who can’t make it can still support you.

Ask for help

Is your bake turning into a headache? Don’t stress! See if your friends, family or colleagues can help. Whether it’s finding raffle prizes to help raise extra dough or helping you to whip up some support by inviting more people – don’t be afraid to ask for help.

Get baking or faking

Now it’s time for the yummy stuff and for you to start baking your favourite creations to sell on the big day. But if you’re feeling exhausted already – we won’t tell if you don’t! Get faking it with the best bakes your local bakery or supermarket has to offer. Sweet or savoury, baked or faked – you’re still changing a life with every slice.

So now it’s over to you to start baking a difference! The Big Brummie Bake Fundraising Team is on hand to help so please keep in touch by emailing [email protected] or calling 0121 728 6739. We’d love to hear all about your plans and support you along the way.
