As part of Wills Month – an annual legacies campaign that takes place in September – the hospice has partnered with McClure Solicitors and online will writer Guardian Angel to offer estate planning advice and free will-writing services.
Supporters of the hospice are being encouraged to take advantage of the free expertise on offer to ensure their wishes are known and that loved ones are provided for. Katie Mitchell, Head of Fundraising at John Taylor Hospice, explained: “We understand that getting your affairs in order can seem daunting so we want to help make the process as easy as possible.
“On Friday 18 September at 2pm, our free will partners McClure Solicitors will host an online Live Talk event to answer your questions about making a will and planning for the future. This is a free session, it’s easy to register and is open to all. McClure Solicitors also offer a free will service to anyone who mentions John Taylor Hospice when booking their appointment.
“Having a will and planning for the future is important but for some people it remains on their ‘to-do’ list as making the time to see a solicitor can be difficult. That’s why we’ve also partnered with Guardian Angel to offer a free, quick and secure online will-writing service. In just 15 minutes you can write your will, which is then checked by a legal expert and returned to you within seven days to sign and make it a legally-binding document. There is no cost to you for this service.”
Last year John Taylor Hospice received over £280,000 from people who had left a gift in their will to the hospice. That money is providing compassionate care and specialist support for people who need it now and ensures care will be there for people who need it for generations to come.
