Advanced Nurse Practitioner

This post has been developed to ensure consistent service delivery alongside our Medical staff and the rest of the multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will become part of the joint medical team across Birmingham St Mary’s and John Taylor Hospice and will be accountable to the Joint Medical Director

The Postholder will:

  • Provide a supporting role in the clinical care of patients and families across in-patient, day hospice and community settings
  • Support the education programmes and governance needs of the in-patient unit
  • Support the delivery of external education programmes and research activity
  • Contribute to the 24/7 on-call rota for Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice (BSMH) with the support of the second on call regional Consultant.

There may be circumstances where cross cover for the John Taylor Hospice (JTH) site is required in and out of hours, but the base site for this post holder will be BSMH
