John Taylor Hospice is a charitable hospice based in north Birmingham. The hospice is in an exciting time in its development with a clear vision to improve end of life care for local communities. We operate across the West Midlands and provide a wide range of end of life care services to those populations. We have recently started an ambitious income generation strategy including launching a number of charity retail outlets and are looking to recruit a Senior Finance Assistant who can support this venture.
You will be an experienced accounts assistant with a good eye for detail having used software packages to produce management accounts. You will be, as a minimum , part-qualified in one of the following: ACA, ACCA, CIMA AAT or QBE. If successful you would be based within the small Finance Team. The role will be diverse – providing technical and skilled accountancy support within the Finance Department including payroll, purchase leger, nominal ledger, retail reporting and banking procedure duties.
With excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues both within the Finance Team and across the rest of the hospice, you will be expected to work on your own initiative and be responsible for planning your own workload in order to meet strict monthly deadlines.
